Phase 3: The Final Phase

Funding Secured for Hayle Museum

We are delighted to announce that funding has been secured for the final phase of the redevelopment of John Harvey House, the home of Hayle Heritage Centre.

Three years ago, we created a masterplan for the building, and began to secure funding, with two successful phases of building works completed, we have tackled the most urgent structural issues and secured this important historic building for future generations.

Now, we can focus on the next stage: transforming John Harvey House into Hayle Museum.

From Hayle’s Past to Its Future

The project has evolved, and we are going to create a new museum that will tell the story of this extraordinary town, from prehistory to the present day.

Through exhibitions, collections, community stories and learning activities, Hayle Museum will explore the people, places, industries and events that have shaped Hayle over thousands of years.

Shaping Hayle Museum

We are now entering the development phase of the project.

Over the coming months, we will be working with specialist consultants, designers and local communities to develop the museum experience and bring the vision to life.

Community involvement will be at the heart of this process. We want local people to help shape the museum by sharing stories, memories, ideas and expertise.

Follow Our Progress

This page will be the home for project updates, news, events and opportunities to get involved.

We’ll be sharing details of community activities, consultation opportunities and key project milestones as we work together to create a museum that celebrates Hayle’s remarkable story.

Consultant & Procurement Opportunities – Help Shape the Future of Hayle Museum

Harvey’s Foundry Trust is entering the development phase of the Hayle Museum project.

Over the coming months, we will be appointing a range of specialist consultants and professional services to help us transform our vision into a vibrant and engaging museum telling the story of Hayle from prehistory to the present day.

This work will support the development of exhibitions, visitor experiences, learning programmes, business planning, conservation, community engagement and interpretation, helping us create a museum that celebrates Hayle’s unique heritage and serves both local communities and visitors.

Current Opportunities

We will be advertising several consultancy and professional service opportunities throughout the development phase.
