Back in time with Cornish Lime

  September 16, 2026    Daisy Culmer

The lime has arrived!

External works to the Drawing Office are nearing completion. This historic timber-framed structure will be traditionally lime plastered, as it was when it was originally built in 1779 as part of the company offices for iron foundry Harvey & Co., manufacturers of Cornish Beam Engines and mammoth steamships.

Thank you to Historic England for supporting the project.
