Hayle Heritage Centre opened in 2013, aiming to encourage people to engage with Hayle’s rich history.
Located on the historic site of Harvey’s Foundry, the Centre couldn’t be in a better place to inspire audiences of all ages.
The Heritage Centre has three rooms and an outdoor area which are dedicated to displays about all aspects of Hayle’s past: Harvey’s Foundry; The Cornish Copper Company; Shopping; Shipbuilding; Hayle Carnival; Decorative Art and many more.
We also run a variety of workshops, temporary exhibitions, guided tours and community events. If you are part of a school or community group and are interested in booking a guided tour or a talk (speakers are available to travel), please get in touch.
Behind the scenes, the Heritage Centre has an enduring concern for collections care, preserving objects and the tales they tale for future generations of the town.
